Pizzaiolo was born in 1998 when founder Gianni Toscani, a third-generation Italian pizzaiolo (pizza maker), decided to bring the authentic flavors of his hometown Naples to Canada. What began as a small pizzeria in downtown Toronto has now grown into a beloved pizza delivery brand with over 50 locations across Canada.
Despite our growth, we've remained true to Gianni's original vision: to create authentic Italian pizzas using traditional methods and the finest ingredients. Each of our pizzas is still handcrafted with the same care and attention to detail that Gianni brought to his first location.
Our commitment to quality has earned us numerous awards, including "Best Pizza Delivery" in Canadian Restaurant Awards for five consecutive years. But our greatest achievement is the loyalty of our customers, many of whom have been with us since the beginning.

Our dough is made daily using imported Italian 00 flour, filtered water, sea salt, and a special yeast culture. It's then allowed to rise slowly for a minimum of 24 hours, developing complex flavors and that perfect texture.
Our signature tomato sauce starts with San Marzano tomatoes, known for their sweet flavor and low acidity. We hand-crush them and add just a touch of sea salt, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil. Simple, pure, and delicious.
We use a special blend of fresh mozzarella and aged cheeses, carefully selected for optimal melt, stretch, and flavor. For specialty pizzas, we incorporate imported Italian cheeses like buffalo mozzarella, parmigiano-reggiano, and gorgonzola.
From premium meats to fresh vegetables, we source the highest quality toppings available. Many of our ingredients are locally sourced from Canadian farmers and producers who share our commitment to quality.
Each pizza is hand-stretched and baked in our stone ovens at 700°F, the ideal temperature for creating that perfect balance of crispy exterior and chewy interior that defines authentic Italian pizza.
